SERVICE/SUPPORT QUESTIONS

Q:

How long does it take my Direct Deposit to start working?

A:

In order to be sure that your Direct Deposit goes into the correct account on pay day, People Lease sends a prenote the first payroll your Direct Deposit is loaded. By the next payroll if everything checks out, your Direct Deposit will be active.

Q:

Where is the People Lease processing services center located?

A:

We are located at 689 Towne Center Blvd. in Ridgeland, MS. (see Contact Us).

QUARTERLY/YEAR END QUESTIONS

Q:

When will we be receiving our Year End packet and W-2's?

A:

As soon as the client signs off verifying all info is included for the year (taxable fringe benefits, personal use of company car, group term life, and 3rd party sick pay must all be in our payroll system), but no later than January 30th.

Q:

Why does my W-2 not match my last check stub?

A:

(1) Pretax deductions are not listed on the W2
(2)Retirement plan deductions are not included in box 1 as it is not taxable for Federal and some state withholding.
(3) Retirement plan deductions are located in box 3 for social security wages.

Q:

Can insurance carrier W-2s be used?

A:

No because matching FICA from the Employer must be reported on form 941. Ask the insurance carrier to stop printing them as our W-2's will contain 3rd party sick pay on them

Q:

If an employee loses a W-2, what should I do?

A:

You can make a copy of the employer copy that People Lease furnishes and give that to the employee to use or you can have People Lease reprint the W-2 or 1099 for a small fee.

Q:

What do I have to do to get specific deductions to show on the W-2?

A:

Inform customer support and People Lease will make sure they are listed.
